The procedure of inserting the colonic stent
Under the
monitoring of X-ray, insert the romanoscope through the anus, and then insert
a ultralong and super-smooth leading thread of 0.038 inch through the Biopsy
opening into the stenosis and reaching the distal end. Insert a double channel
catheter along the leading thread and contrast to observe the situation of the
stenosis so as to select the suitable size of stent. Change a super-hard
leading thread into the catheter after finishing observation. Then insert the
introducer together with the stent along the hard leading thread.
When the distal
end of the stent exceeds about 10mm to the distal end of the stenosis, release
the stent slowly and carefully, adjust the stent to the
suitable
position step by step. If necessary, withdraw the introducer after
releasing
completely and insert a Foley's tube to the stenosis and inject
some contrast
agents of 50 to dilate the stent through the outer tube.
At last withdraw
the leading thread and the introducer.
